Ever wondered what an HOA was?   It stands for Homeowner's Association.  Most large subdivisions have a homeowner's association which has a number of duties including maintaining any community amenities and enforcing deed restrictions for the community.  For these services, they typically charge a monthly or annual fee to the homeowner.
